Valentino Balboni produces a titanium exhaust for the Lamborghini Huracan STO.
While a Lamborghini Huracan STO is nearly perfect right out of the factory, there is always a desire by some buyers to tweak it here and there.
And if anyone knows how to tweak a Lamborghini, it must be Valentino Balboni, a Lamborghini test driver for nearly 40 years.
In 2016, Balboni founded his own tuning company called VB, whose latest product is a titanium exhaust system for the Huracan STO. The exhaust contains a mix of titanium and Inconel, the latter being used for the bellows; according to VB, the designers relied on gas flow optimization techniques similar to those used in the aerospace industry when developing this exhaust.
The exhaust is designed to bolt on to the factory mounts, and its lightweight construction makes it 14.2 pounds lighter than the factory system. It is also no surprise that this exhaust contributes to the Huracan STO's power increase over the stock 630 hp. Dyno test results have not been announced.
Only 40 VBs will be produced worldwide. Half of them will be signature editions with the owner's name and one-off details added.
"Our new VB exhaust is the best system that can be manufactured for the amazing Huracan STO. It completely reinforces the STO's racing DNA."
