Acura Integra Type S HRC flaunts high-performance parts
The Acura Integra Type S provides many thrills with the intense power and agility of its turbo-4 engine. It performs well on the race track, but Acura is looking to give this compact pocket rocket even more performance and style.
Thursday night before its public unveiling Friday at The Quail at Monterey Car Week: the Acura is loaded with aerodynamic, suspension, engine, brake, and lightweight parts upgrades available through Honda Racing Corp. the Integra Type S HRC prototype was unveiled.
“Every spec of the Acura Integra Type S HRC Prototype screams performance,” said John Ikeda, senior vice president of Honda Racing Corporation USA. 'Every part has to be functional and performance-enhancing or it wouldn't be on the car.'
The parts, developed by HRC US race engineers using their experience with the Acura Integra Type S TCX race car, are designed to improve performance on the street and on the track.
