Saleen unveils new 302 based on 2024 Ford Mustang
A new generation of the Ford Mustang is coming for the 2024 model year, and the folks at Saleen have given it a 302.
The Southern California engineering and motorsports firm has added unique styling inside and out as well as performance to back up the new look.
Like the current 302, which is based on the sixth-generation Mustang, the new 302 will offer three performance stages based on the Mustang's 5.0-liter V-8.
The lineup begins with the White Label, which delivers 510 hp and starts at $61,900. Next is the Yellow Label, which adds a supercharger and draws 745 hp. Prices start at $81,900. The highest output is the Black Label, which also uses a supercharger and combines it with a larger fuel injection system to raise output to 800 hp. Prices for the Black Label start at $89,700.
Other performance upgrades include a tuned suspension with Saleen Racecraft brand components, improved aerodynamics, a Saleen brake package, and 20-inch Saleen wheels front and rear.
The exterior features custom designs on the fascia, fenders, hood, rear spoiler, and rear three-quarter windows. The design is so wild that even Ford's Mustang Dark Horse looks conservative.
It also features a custom interior with Saleen's own steering wheel, shift knob, and dash trim.
Buyers can choose from the Mustang's 6-speed manual or 10-speed automatic transmission and coupe or convertible body. Ordering is underway. Saleen has not indicated when the first customer deliveries will begin.
