2026 Kia PV5 electric van spotted.
Kia plans to have 14 electric vehicles in its lineup by as early as 2027, some of which will be dedicated vehicles designed to meet specific customer needs, such as delivery vans and shuttle vans.
Kia is presenting a concept car at the 2024 CES, although details of the powertrain are unknown.
And now a prototype of a camouflaged production model has been spotted. This is a mid-size van and will most likely be produced under the PV5 name. This name was given to the concept that was previewed at CES for the van.
The concept had an overall length of nearly 183 inches and a wheelbase of nearly 118 inches, and the production model will likely be that size.
Depending on configuration, the PV5 could function as a delivery van, passenger van, camper, or cab. Kia has also shown a possible configuration for use as a robotic cab, which Kia plans to use itself.
Kia also plans to offer the PV5 as a chassis cab, which would allow owners to build a vehicle that perfectly suits their needs, known as upfitting.
The PV5 is expected to debut in 2025 as the first of Kia's new dedicated vehicles.
Kia also plans to launch a dedicated vehicle based on its Niro compact crossover, designed for cab service.
