Barrett-Jackson's Buy-Sell-Hold Panel.

American Car Collector Magazine hosted a panel of experts at the Barrett-Jackson Auctioneers where well-known collector/columnists offered their opinions on the buy-sell-hold status of certain special hobby vehicles.

In 2020, things are clearly changing. Electric cars and hybrids. The perception is that the next generation is not interested in cars. Part of this was dispelled during the Q&A session. However, the panel discussion offered insights that sounded like a daytime broadcast on a cable TV business channel. Joining the panel were Ken Riggenfelter, GM tuner and noted collector; Elana Schell, journalist and collector; B. (Brian) Mitchell Carlson, journalist and collector; and Carl Bomstedt, journalist and collector.

Here are the expected buy-sell holds, starting with the muscle car in the Barrett-Jackson sweet spot. How do you feel about the choices the panel made?
